My husband was the biggest sceptic and his workmates took the mickey about his wife buying a bike with no pedals or brakes.... but no more! Thanks again for this gorgeous little bike.
Last week I bought an Early Rider for my little boys third birthday. As you suggested I let my 4 and a half year old have a go and after ten minutes he got on his own bike and rode without stabilisers for the first time, calling over his shoulder "is this balancing?" As for the intended recipient? Well this is a child who receives extra help at preschool to improve his balance so I thought it would take him some time to get used to. Today (after three goes) he not only runs confidently with it he can lift his legs up for what seems like ages and if he wobbles can correct himself without any trouble. He adores his Early Rider and wants to ride it constantly. My only problem is that my older son loves it more than his own bike but to be honest if I was little so would I! I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks again and let you know what's been happening over the past week. Last Monday (10 Oct) we received a new Ridgeback Zoom It arrived in great condition this time. Later that same day, my wife had a baby (a girl) so things have been pretty chaotic ever since which is why I haven't written back until today. I have the damaged bike packed back up safely and am going to take it to be shipped today - it should arrive in the next day or two. No postage refund is necessary. Early Rider arrived safely today, it must have just missed last week's parcel flight. It's fab ! Our 2 year old has already completed several laps of the living room - a bit tottery at first but already getting more confident. We had to call proceedings to a halt for bedtime otherwise he'd have gone on all night. The bike is now proudly parked next to his cot! C W-H - Australia
